Dr. Aydin Atilla, MD

Dr. Aydin Atilla is a dedicated physician with over 30 years of experience in internal medicine, pediatrics, and emergency care. Board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics since 1997, he has built his career around compassionate, community-focused care for patients of all ages.

Dr. Atilla currently serves as Medical Director for the Hospitalist and Emergency Medicine programs at Lower Keys Medical Center in Key West, Florida. In this role, he has been instrumental in developing a hospitalist program tailored to the distinctive needs of this island community, working alongside a committed team to support a 165-bed hospital that serves as the primary healthcare hub for the Lower Keys.

Throughout his career, Dr. Atilla has held a range of leadership positions, including membership on the Medical Executive Committee, Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine, and Chair of the Quality Improvement Committee. In each role, he has championed initiatives focused on patient safety, care quality, and measurable outcomes — always with a collaborative approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Prior to relocating to Key West, Dr. Atilla held clinical and administrative positions at CarolinaEast Medical Center in New Bern, NC, and Kinston Community Health Center in Kinston, NC. His broader professional background spans clinical training, policy development, quality assurance, and healthcare planning for federal grants. He has also led the implementation of HIPAA protocols and quality improvement strategies across multiple practice settings.

Dr. Atilla earned his medical degree from the Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine at the University of Istanbul, and completed his residency in the Combined Medicine and Pediatrics Program at the Medical College of Virginia. In addition to his U.S. board certifications, he holds emergency medicine credentials from Turkey and has completed advanced training in ambulatory care management and quality improvement.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Atilla is an avid soccer player, kite surfer, photographer, and traveler. He is married to Tracy Atilla, RN, a certified midwife, and together they are the proud parents of four children. Dr. Atilla is fluent in English and Turkish.

Susie Galvan

Susie Galvan is a seasoned and trusted healthcare administrator with over 30 years of progressive experience in medical practice management. As Practice Coordinator for Hospitalist Alliance and MD4ER in Key West, Florida, she leads a 28-provider team with expertise, precision, and an unwavering commitment to operational excellence and physician success.

Susie brings comprehensive knowledge across all facets of practice administration, including physician recruiting, revenue cycle management, payer credentialing, and healthcare compliance. She is proficient in multiple EHR and practice management systems, as well as medical billing and coding, and has a demonstrated track record of optimizing performance and ensuring compliance across complex, multi-provider organizations.

Throughout her career, Susie has distinguished herself through exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and leadership abilities. She cultivates collaborative relationships across departments and remains deeply committed to ethical practice and operational excellence. Her hands-on expertise encompasses accounts payable and receivable, payroll, benefits administration, HR functions, and provider onboarding — all complemented by a sharp attention to detail and a strong aptitude for problem-solving.

Her prior experience includes managing outpatient family practice clinics, providing billing services across multiple specialties, and overseeing policy and procedure development. She has consistently driven operational improvements, led EHR implementations, and contributed to the long-term financial sustainability of healthcare organizations.

Susie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Healthcare Administration from Western Kentucky University and remains dedicated to continuous learning and quality improvement in all aspects of healthcare operations.
